Cancellation of Day & Multi-Day Tours

You can cancel your tours up to 48 hours before departure and receive a full refund less deposit paid.

Cancellation Due to Weather

If a scheduled day tour is cancelled by us due to poor weather conditions, we can arrange for you to go on the tour on a different day or offer you alternative tours of your choice. If that does not fit your schedule, we will offer an alternative activity or provide a full refund.

If You Cancel or Change a Booking

  • All cancellations must be made by email to info@icelandexperience.is.
  • Refund requests for completed services must be submitted within 15 days after completion of the tour or package.
  • Refund requests must be sent to info@icelandexperience.is with the subject line: Refund Request – Order Number.
  • We will assist you in changing your travel arrangements at no extra cost. If you choose more expensive alternatives, any price difference will apply.
  • If the number of passengers changes, the total price may change accordingly (e.g. single room occupancy).
  • All changes must be requested at least 48 hours in advance. During high season, changes may be limited due to availability, but we will always do our best.

Pickups

  • During booking, you are required to select a pickup location and time. Failure to show up at the confirmed pickup location and time will result in a non-refundable reservation.
  • If you do not know your pickup location at the time of booking, you may update it up to 24 hours before departure by emailing info@icelandexperience.is.

Terms of Payment

All prices are set and charged in Icelandic Kronas (ISK) and may also be displayed in Euros (EUR). Prices are calculated at the time of booking based on the current exchange rate issued by the Central Bank of Iceland.

Currency exchange rate fluctuations are beyond our control and cannot be considered grounds for a refund.

Full payment is charged at the time of booking unless special terms apply. For group bookings and packages of more than 15 people, please contact us at info@icelandexperience.is.

Deposit Payments

  • A 20% deposit is charged for bookings made more than 30 days in advance.
  • The remaining balance must be paid at least 21 days prior to travel. Email reminders will be sent accordingly.
  • For group bookings, a 50% deposit is required. The remaining balance is due 30 days before arrival.

General Terms

Your safety and comfort are our top priority. While we strive to deliver the best possible experience, Iceland Experience cannot be held responsible for personal loss, theft, damage, accidents, injuries, sickness, or other unforeseen incidents during the tour.

In rare cases, circumstances beyond our control — such as weather conditions, flight delays, strikes, or other events — may require changes to itineraries or schedules. If this occurs, we will always do our best to provide suitable alternatives.

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to ensure peace of mind throughout your journey.
